產品說明 Ocimum gratissimum L.：
Liver is a multi-functional organ, and it involve in metabolism, digestion, absorption and detoxification, etc. in human body. Liver cell apoptosis will be induced when hepatocyte damage cause by virus, alcohol, drugs, etc., while hepatic stellate cell is activated. Evidences show that it is a precursor of hepatic fibrosis to cirrhosis when activity of hepatic stellate cells increased. At present, the treatment of liver fibrosis mainly focused on the treatment of liver inflammation, the most well-known anti-inflammatory drug that is steroids, but it is easy to induce other side effects induce for long-term use. Ocimum gratissimum Linn.（Sweetscented Basil） is widely distributed in tropical and warm temperature regions. The plant is commonly used in folk medicine to treat different diseases, e.g. upper respiratory tract infections, diarrhea, headache, ophthalmic, skin diseases, pneumonia, and also as a treatment for cough, fever, cirrhosis, hepatitis and conjunctivitis. Ocimum gratissimum Linn. is a small shrub cover with white tiny fur. It has unpleasant odor especially being boiled by water.
