Introduction The Alishan Oolong Tea district is located at elevations between 1100m ~ 1800m. Apart from the tea district’s excellent conditions for growing high mountain tea, the area experiences perennial cloud, mist, rain and dew while the tealeaves themselves undergo a special process of repeated manual kneading. High mountain tea grown in this area produces thick yet juicy leaves with very good texture.
