Introduction Tsuiyu is a new species in the early-middle growth category that is suitable for making white tea. The tree tends to be on the larger side with purplish buds and sparser hairs.
The leaves are longer and narrower, larger and thicker with the edges curling upwards. The leaves are greener and glossier while the sawtooth edges are wider and blunt.
This species’ foliage is sparser and is hard to mechanically pick. As its output is slightly lower than Taiwan Tea No.12 not many were grown at first. Its wonderful flavor and strong floral perfume is steadily gathering adherents. This is Taiwan specialty tea whose fragrance and taste lingers on the palate.
